ASSISTANT TO EADV LEADERSHIP

The EADV is a non-profit association, founded in 1987, whose mission is to advance excellence in clinical care, research, education and training in the field of dermatology and Venereology and to act as the advocate and educator of patients particularly those with cutaneous or venereal diseases. The Academy is currently Europe’s largest association of Dermatology and Venereology and annually organises two main events - a spring symposium (with 1,500 – 3,000 participants) and a main congress which currently attracts more than 10,000 participants.

 

JOB OBJECTIVE

The role of Assistant to the EADV Leadership is a part-time position (50%). The candidate will play an important role in supporting the Secretary General, the President and the Executive Office of the Academy.

 

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

As Assistant, the candidate will be in constant communication with the Secretary General  and the President, and will work side by side with other Assistants to the Leadership.

 

As part of this position, the candidate will be responsible for tasks that include (but may be not limited to):

  • Co-writing, editing and proof reading of official documents, producing official reports, and any other official documentation
  • Should be able to write detailed meeting minutes
  • Agenda & Calendar Management
  • Assisting the Executive Office during official meetings
  • Project Coordinator for the Executive Office
  • Organising and coordinating executive events
  • Flexibility to travel on average 5 times a year

 

 

DESCRIPTION OF THE RELATIONSHIPS

  • Reports to Executive Office/CEO
  • Interacts with the other Assistants and members of staff at the EADV both in Lugano and Brussels

 

 

SKILL SPECIFICATIONS

  • Native speaker or full fluency in English (Cambridge Proficiency), top notch grammar skills & syntax
  • Excellent communication and people skills
  • Tech-savvy, full use of the Office package, Outlook and Skype
  • Happy to work in a team but also able to be independent, proactive and resourceful
  • Adaptable and flexible, diplomatic and exceptionally well groomed, should be able to be a real ambassador for the Academy and the Executive Office
  • Swiss citizen or valid working permit (B or C)
