Dermatopathology

This theoretical and practical course will cover the most relevant topics of dermatopathology, focusing on the minimum common denominators that define the most frequent and important cutaneous diseases. Special attention will be given to the inflammatory processes, which histopathology is usually more difficult to understand, recognise and memorise.

The course is organised in two parts. The first introductory part is online and it is intended to provide the basic knowledge required to take advantage of the second part (face-to-face course). Only those who passed the online exam will be considered for the selection process to attend the course.

Make sure to complete the mandatory online pre-course "Introduction to Dermatopathology" before the course application deadline on 10 July 2021 at https://www.eadvelearning.org/catalog/courses/956079

Learning Objectives:

  1. Recognize the main patterns and alterations of the skin,
  2. Know the four characteristics that define every inflammatory dermatosis and will acquire the ability to recognize them,
  3. Identify the main features of the most frequent melanocytic, epithelial and mesenchymal tumors and the basics for the diagnosis of lymphoproliferative disorders. For these non-inflammatory pathologies, schemes and animations will be used to facilitate the integration of concepts.
